Buyer's Guide

A Mobile Repeater is a device that is designed to pick up the outdoor reception from a network provider's mobile tower, amplify it, and then wirelessly re-broadcast it inside where coverage may be weak. Most of our mobile repeaters are usually sold as a complete kits which include

  • External Antenna – (Antenna that receives the signal)
  • Coax Cable – (Cable from Donor Antenna to Mobile Repeater)
  • Mobile Repeater
  • Internal Antenna

Note: For larger homes or buildings additional components may be required.

Questions You Should Consider Before Selecting Your Repeater

  1. How large an area do I need to cover? – (Square footage or meterage of area and how many floors)
  2. Do I have access to install the external donor antenna?
  3. How strong or weak is my outdoor reception?
  4. Which service provider(s) do I need to support? – (One or multiple)
  5. What is the type of application? – (Residential or Commercial?)

Note: Mobile Repeater Kits are mainly categorized by the size area they need to cover. The square footage or meterage of area each model will cover is listed on each product.

Simply select a repeater model that fits within the size area you need to cover. You then need to select which frequency band would be applicable to the network or networks you are on.

The listed area of coverage that each of our repeaters will cover is based on a good outdoor signal.

However it is not an issue if your outdoor signal is extremely weak. Our mobile repeaters are engineered to accept a pre-amp that will boost an extremely weak signal and coupled with the appropriate repeater, still provide you with the required coverage.
