For domestic homes and small offices a survey is not normally necessary however for certain commercial and industrial buildings especially in challenging situations it is advisable to have a survey carried out. 

Survey Overview: 

• Determine Network Carriers and locate distance and degree of masts
• Determine total floor area 
• Determine all areas that need the mobile signal boosted
• We then draft a sketch and take photographs

 Other areas that need to be determined

• External aerial accessibility
• Health and safety issues
• Total number of floors
• Area per floor in m2
• Specific areas to cover or whole building
• Signal level inside db
• Signal level outside db
• Construction material of internal partition walls and exterior walls
• Ceiling type (plaster or suspended ceiling)
• Roof access to run cabling from external aerials to repeaters
• Riser access between floors
• Adequate space above ceiling to run cables and mount directional couplers and splitters
• Any issues with building layout or construction that would impede cable runs or signal
• Is any remedial work required prior to and after the installation.
